Problem downloading two files at once
  • Konrad October 2011
    Hey everyone!

First, congrats on creating XODA! It's really great. =)

I'm having one issue, though. Whenever I try to start two downloads at the same time, the second one doesn't work. The server takes a long time to respond, and then returns a generic error.
I couldn't find a log to help with the debugging.
I assume it's something with XODA, because when linking directly to the files the downloads work fine.

Any clue on why this could happen? I'm running XODA 0.3.1. You can even try my XODA installation, it's located on http://arquivos.movimentozeitgeist.com.br/Audioconfer%C3%AAncias

    Thanks!

    Hi Konrad!
I am really sorry for the late response! It was the time and the very busy service I work in as well as my small son preventing me from being able to check on all the problems reported here in a timely manner.
Yes, I can reproduce the problem you are reporting not only on your installation but also on my setting. A second download starts as the first one is completed, provided it happens in the time limit for the server to return php requests. Unfortunately I don't have any explanation for this and will have to ask Francois (the other developer of XODA) who is way more savvy in coding and debugging. Hopefully he would have any idea.
Sorry for not being able to help!

    Hi Konrad,

What is the HTTP Server you are using ?

    Have a nice day.

Hey guys, thanks for the response.

I'm using Apache, hosted at Dreamhost.

It would be great to solve this, we've had users reporting errors in our file server and I think it's related to this.
